Early Life
Lavaneka Stanae Grier (born February 14, 1987) known by her stage name Mac Bre-Z. She was born and raised out of Atlanta, GA., growing up in Mechanicsville Georgia (Westside Zone 3) with her parents Vanessa & Stanley Grier, with only one younger brother Stanziel Grier.  They moved to Decatur Georgia (East Atlanta Zone 6) shortly after her parents divorced. At a young age whenever Lavaneka could get a hold of her diary she would express her feelings, thoughts and opinions in her diary which lead to her rhyming.  Attending Miller Grove Middle School, Mac Bre-Z became very popular and was voted to be crowned Miss GQ when she was only in the 7th grade. The multi-talented young lady participated in "Xi Delta Phi" step team. She was given the line name Bre-Z also known as Baby P.H.A.T by her step team members who said, "She is so cool and she is known for wearing the latest Baby Phat clothing". The nickname followed her to Redan High School, where classmates constantly made jokes about her secret admirers. From that point on she became known as Mac Bre-Z, which she now uses as her alias.  Being inspired by fellow emcee's; Lil Kim, Foxy Brown, Eve, Da Brat and Lil Jon, Mac Bre-Z began to develop her diary entries into songs.  From freestyling in class and in the streets of Atlanta Bre-Z's rapping ability was starting to be recognized.  She was persuaded to perform at Columbia High School's Annuual talent show hosted by DJ Greg Street of V103, in which she was discovered by a local promoter. Shortly after, she was signed to Dee Money records and released her first single "Uh-Oh".  She began to book shows in Atlanta and making her way across the East Coast.
